Humanities at Santa Fe College

linking history, culture and the humanities

The Florida Folk Life Project at Santa Fe will create instructional resources for students and faculty in the humanities to define and describe multicultural contributions to Florida Folk Life through the production of student-generated public education artifacts (brochures, infographics and recipe books) that connect Florida’s multicultural history to contemporary cultural diversity.  This project will infuse sustainability into courses by connecting the humanities to real world practices that promote economic, ecological and social sustainability.

This project also supports the goals and objectives of Santa Fe’s Sustainability Initiative to infuse the concept of sustainability and the three interdependent areas of concern into the college curriculum: • Ecological Preservation, Economic Viability, and Social Justice.
